Operations Technician at Kalmar Folk High School

As an operations technician at Kalmar Folk High School, you have the opportunity to combine your knowledge of property technology with an interest in gardening and outdoor environments.

You will work within a broad field with the daily operation of our properties. The position is a combined indoor and outdoor role, which means you will work with preventive and corrective service and maintenance in our buildings and technical systems, as well as manage the park environment associated with the folk high school.

You will work daytime, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of flexible working hours. The placement is primarily at Kalmar Folk High School, but also at the County Hospital in Kalmar. After an introductory period, you may participate in our emergency preparedness work, with a response time of a maximum of 45 minutes.

The position may be subject to security clearance.

About You

You have a relevant education for the position, such as an operations technician education, or other education and experience deemed equivalent. We would also like you to have training or practical experience in the maintenance of public gardens, as well as experience in service and repair of machinery and vehicles.

To succeed in the position and be able to work independently, you need to have several years of experience in operations and maintenance, preferably from a larger organization. Region Kalmar County invests in new and modern properties, which involve extensive amounts of technology and security that are digitized, thus good computer skills are a prerequisite. A B driver's license is required for the position.

As a person, you are service-oriented, flexible, and organized. You also have a genuine interest in technology, and it is important that you are quality-conscious and can organize your work effectively for our operations. Your Future Workplace

The property management of Kalmar Folk High School is part of the assignment that the property operations at the county hospital in Kalmar have. With us, there are 27 technicians, six engineers, two administrators, and one technical manager. We are responsible for the operation and maintenance of Region Kalmar County's complex buildings and equipment in the southern part of the county.
